I had a great experience at Ron Tonkin Toyota, and I really appreciate the service I received from Scott. My vehicle had been having a recurring alarm/warning issue since June. Whenever the warning came on, it would normally disappear after I pulled over, turned the car off, and restarted it. I originally brought my vehicle to the Toyota dealership where I purchased it, Toyota Broadway, but I was repeatedly told that they could not diagnose or repair the problem unless the alarm was actively showing when they inspected the vehicle. Because the warning would usually disappear, I had to take the vehicle back without the issue being resolved. This past Tuesday, the warning started coming on repeatedly and, for the first time, restarting the vehicle did not make it go away. I decided to take my vehicle to Ron Tonkin Toyota, where I worked with Scott. Scott took the time to look into the issue and was able to find information in the vehicle’s system that helped identify the problem. I left the vehicle with them for about two days so they could properly diagnose and inspect it. They eventually found that the front camera was faulty and needed to be replaced. They also thoroughly checked the vehicle afterward to make sure the warning system was functioning properly and that the alarms would not continue coming back. I am very thankful that Scott took the time to investigate the issue instead of simply telling me that nothing could be done because the warning was not currently active. After dealing with this problem since June, it was such a relief to finally have someone find the actual cause and fix it. Thank you to Scott and the Ron Tonkin Toyota team for taking my concern seriously, communicating with me, and making sure my vehicle was properly checked before returning it to me. I really appreciate the service and would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone who needs help with a difficult-to-diagnose issue.

Lamirra was great to work with. She was extremely nice and patient with my many questions. She never once made me feel she was trying to upsell me anything or put me in a car I was not comfortable buying. She had answers for all my questions and if she was unsure she got those answers from someone else. After months of being without a car because of warranty repairs, receiving little to no support, and feeling completely defeated -even after purchasing six vehicles from that dealership - I finally decided it was time to move on. I am SO glad I did. I reached out to Ron Tonkin Toyota to explain my situation: I was upside down on my current auto loan, needed something safe and RELIABLE for my family, and wasn't sure what my options even were. Justin reached out the same day and already had ideas for both vehicles and financing, which was my biggest concern. When I arrived, I wanted to look at Highlanders, but I was honestly so defeated by my previous experience that I was ready to buy a cheap minivan just to move on with my life and have dependable transportation. Instead, Justin had TWO Highlanders ready for me to look at - including one he had brought over from another lot. He got some quick information from me, and within about 10 minutes, I was test-driving. What impressed me most was how prepared he was. Justin was incredibly knowledgeable about the vehicles and had even researched the car I was trading in so he understood which features I was used to and what would matter to me. I bought a used 2024 Ford Maverick XLT Tremor from Ron Tonkin Toyota in Portland. I worked with Robert Mercer. My purchase was done entirely remote, I never actually saw the vehicle in person. Robert did a fantastic job feeding me all the information I needed to make the decision to purchase and I never felt pressured. He went over and above to send me videos, even test drove the truck for me and gave me his expert opinion. He’s been doing car sales for over 30 years and I trusted that he would give me accurate information. Robert arranged to have the vehicle shipped up to Spokane where I picked it up, for a very reasonable price. That was only glitch in the process and it was the shipper, not the dealership. Vehicle arrived when it was supposed to, but the truck driver left all the car keys at a hotel the previous night and could not unload the truck without keys. I had to spend an extra night in Spokane waiting for the keys to arrive - thus I’d say it was more a 4.5 star experience but I’m still giving 5 stars. Bottom line, I love the truck, it’s everything Robert said it would be and I would do the whole process over again. Except for the delivery part, it was fairly painless, and I hate shopping for cars.

They tell you the breakdown price for the items annd the total, and call you for approval of the diagnosed problem, which turned out to be the squeaky suspension bearings, before proceeding. Everything is meticulously documented and printed out. I feel secure they got my car in great condition and it passed DEQ. I am impressed.

NOT your typical car buying experience. Everyone there was considerate of my time, very friendly, and seemed knowledgeable without being condescending. Definitely a car shopping experience that was like no other. By the way...they have Sesame Donuts and Stumptown Coffee "on tap!" Where else can you have coffee and donuts for $50k? I recently bought a 2026 RAV4 Woodland at this dealer and had a great sales experience, mainly because of Caitlin Teets our salesperson. We were at the dealership next door (Mazda) and the salesperson left us there waiting, we were checking a RAV4 in the parking lot when Caitlin came on board, she was very attentive and helpful, took us to the drive test and answered every question we had, since the vehicle was out of stock, she constantly followed up when a new one became available until we had the right one. The sales deal was closed in a reasonable time, and we got our new vehicle, thanks Caitlin for all your help!! Nothing is perfect though, we also bought the illuminated door sills for $512, just to find after that, that the price in the official Toyota webpage is $325, of course you must add the labor to install them, but almost 60% of the original price just for install those accessories seems to be a bit excessive.

I was lucky enough to work with Alia after submitting an inquiry and could not recommend working with her enough! We had gone to a few other Toyota dealerships in the Portland Metro area, and were either getting ghosted by reps or being pressured into buying something else when we knew what we wanted. Alia was so great to work with, she was honest about suggestions she had when it came to add-on options that would protect the car or be a long term benefit for us given what she knew about our lifestyle and why we were buying this car. I knew she was listening to us and making mindful suggestions not just pushing us to buy something just to make a sale, like we had experienced at other dealerships. Kept me updated on the status regularly. In picking up the Sienna, Mathew was very knowledgeable not just about the Sienna and its features but all the Toyota vehicles I inquired about while there. This dealership and staff made this transaction super easy on a harder to acquire vehicle. Would definitely not hesitate to buy another vehicle from here and Mathew.

We purchased our family car, a new sienna xle. Our service person Bob Mercer was the best!! He found the right car that we were looking for on time and gave us the fantastic service! We would buy our other toyota here with Bob again.

Staff were ALL very polite and asked if I needed any assistance due to my disability.

I bought my 2026 Grand Highlander Hybrid in March from Tonkin Toyota. I have been having problems with the multimedia display from the beginning, not having my key fobs programmed correctly for my setting/profile, making me feel like I made a huge mistake in buying this vehicle. After much stress and anxiety, I decided to go to the dealership yesterday. We ran across a salesman who asked who my salesman was, he checked and he was not in yesterday. So he tried to help me, I told him my problem with the fobs, he proceeded to tell me it had nothing to do with the fobs, I disagreed. As he is sitting in the vehicle now, Caitlyn walks by and he asks her if she could help. Caitlyn was more than glad to help, she knew exactly what needed to be done to get my fobs and my seats in sync. She got my fob and my husbands fob programmed. So far so good! She also told me to come back if I had anymore problems. Caitlyn is a real asset to your company. She is very knowledgeable. After having bad experiences at a couple of different dealerships, I was expecting the same from Ron Tonkin. However, I am happy to say they proved me wrong. Jenni was very friendly and helpful. She made the process of buying a car easy and a lot less stressful than it’s been in the past.

I worked with Logan and Katlyn. Logan especially worked with me as if I had money in hand even though this was an informational call. Kaitlyn was really quick in putting together what I wanted and found what I wanted in record time
